Nurses’ actions before patient’s suicide ‘amounted to neglect’
Mental health inpatient Amy Chapman died by suicide after being permitted to leave a unit where she was being cared for. Her care was criticised by the coroner at the inquest into her death. Ms Chapman’s case is the latest among similiar tragedies associated with one NHS trust.
