Nurses’ tribunal win: calls for clarity on single-sex spaces
Tribunal victory for a group of NHS nurses who claimed they were subject to indirect sex discrimination by their employer over a trans colleague’s use of a single-sex changing room should prompt other employers to examine their single-sex spaces policies, according to the Equality and Human Rights Commission. The tribunal judgement is not binding on other employers, but should be considered by organisations that provide single and separate-sex services, it said.
