Nurses facing loss of paid breaks begin strike vote

Nursing staff who could lose their paid breaks and face ‘fire and rehire’ if they reject the proposals are voting on whether to strike. Their union is urging the NHS employer to heed staff anger, but the trust says it is bringing contracts in line with national terms and conditions.
