Nursing careers: how do I progress from band 6 to band 7?
Nurses progress more slowly through NHS pay bands than other healthcare professionals, with many remaining at band 6 for years. If you do want to step up to a more demanding band 7 role, it can be satisfying, but make sure the role suits you and your skills, and don’t always expect an immediate pay hike
