Advanced practice nurses are ‘not substitutes for doctors’
The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) has clarified the role and expertise of advanced practice nurses, after a British Medical Association (BMA) survey raised concerns about blurred roles. The BMA says it has had reports from some members about non-medical staff work beyond their competence.
